I hate to say this, but I think we are saying goodbye to this course. The Current Issues class has generally been one where I learned a lot and had a great time. Let's dive into the details about this!

One of the biggest strengths of this course was that it taught me more about technology than I had ever learned before. In a short amount of time, I gained a lot of useful knowledge about websites and techniques. When it comes to weaknesses, I can say that all the projects being required to be done as group work was a challenge. Dividing the tasks equally, dealing with miscommunication, and the fact that not everyone contributed equally were some of the weaknesses of group assignments.

The easiest thing about this course was that our teacher was very knowledgeable about her area of interest and provided plenty of resources and examples for the assignments we needed to complete. As for the challenges, we had to learn how to use certain websites before designing materials, and there were limited videos available online to help with this.

My favorite task among the ones we completed was the flipped classroom teaching material. Although the editing process was quite challenging, creating a lesson video from scratch and spending hours learning and working with a video editing program was incredibly satisfying. As for my least favorite assignment, I gave it some thought and honestly couldn’t come up with an answer—I enjoyed all of them and found each one enriching.

I believe this course could be further improved by offering students the opportunity to work individually. My advice to students who will take this course next year would be to choose their group members wisely, not leave assignments to the last minute, and progress in a planned manner.

As I mentioned earlier, in this age of technology, this course has been the most technologically enriching one I have taken so far. The teacher’s communication with the students, her love for the profession, and her continuous effort to improve herself over the years have been incredibly inspiring to me.

I hope that one day I can also convey my passion for teaching to my students and become an educator as accomplished and knowledgeable as her.

WHAT IS FLIPPED CLASSROOM APPROACH?           In a flipped classroom, students learn at home through videos or readings, then use class time for interactive activities like discussions and group work. Teachers guide and support students instead of just lecturing. This approach encourages active engagement and helps students take control of their learning.     This method helps students take control of their learning. It can reduce anxiety since everyone has the same opportunity to prepare before class. Plus, the collaborative activities allow for deeper understanding and connection with peers.    The disadvantages of this approach can be access issues, over-reliance on technology and maybe less face-to-face interaction among the students. AR Integrated Teaching Material

     Hello again everyone! I’m back to remind you to reapply your sunscreen and to introduce a brand new project. I hope you’ve missed me, shall we get started?    This new project was created with my friends Perihan Bozdağ , Hayrunnisa Azbay , and Eda Karaca . Our topic was AR (Augmented Reality).
